Enjoyed a nice evening with friends & family to celebrate a birthday. Love the new location in downtown Winter Garden on Plant St., much more quaint & fun vs. the Fowler Groves mall location. Our server, Abby, was very pleasant & attentive! The staff all pitched in & helped out & the restaurant Mgr was very interactive w customers & also jumped in to help out when needed! The food was really good! Had one of their flatbreads, the one w the pears was delish, the burger was good, & the apps were decent, Black & Blue chips, w bleu cheese & balsamic, the crostinis & tampanade was yummy! The mango sangria was also a nice change! Def going back!

I really enjoyed this place. If your into flat breads, good soups, lite salads and tasty entrees, then this is a place for you! The location is in downtown winter garden. Such a beautiful spot. Looks a bit historic and a great place to walk around after or before dining. The staff at Urban Flats made me feel very welcomed. Our server was very friendly and very knowledgable of the menu. I really enjoyed this place and will become a regular. I do recommend this restaurant. The ambiance is perfect also. Very nice inside and quiet. They also have a great outside seating area as well! Give it a shot.

We went at 1pm on a Thursday. Seated right away. Maybe two others in the place. After placing our drink order she brought us the wrong drinks. Then after taking our orders of a flatbread and salad we waited for 25 minutes. We didn't even get the salad yet at this point. The table next to us were grumbling too. They were there before us and had not gotten their food either. In that 25 minutes our waitress had not stopped by our table once. Finally a man asked if I wanted a refill and told him we'd be leaving since our food was taking so long in an empty restaurant. Left money for the sodas and left. Poor service and long wait. Will not return. Edited*******5/17/15 Received a very professional response from the owner of urban flats. I understand that anyone can have an off day or a off moment. After our communications I will be giving urban flats another shot.

Immediately after I posted my review, I was contacted by the owner who wanted to hear the details of my less than stellar visit. I was very surprised at the promptness of the note and also the owner wanting to make things right. I can definitely stand behind any restaurant that goes out of their way to ensure the customer experience is positive for everyone and every time. Definitely will make my way back out there and give it another shot! Thanks.

Back to Urban Flats again. So why not try a Burbon Bals high ball? This under the skilled and persuasive advisement of our snarky / fun server Mallory. Glad she insisted in spite of the odd add of basil and whatever else was in there, it was worthy of a second take. The Black n White Chips didn't last long on the table. Great balsamic drizzle and (substituted) feta cheese, the ole grocery hole was busy with this one. Combined with the Beet Salad was another winner. Made this five stars visit. Would do it all over again.

I ordered there signature chicken salad sandwich, you can have it on bread or in a wheat wrap. I ordered mine on bread. I was a bit disappointed in the flavor of the sandwich and how dry it tasted. There was no spread on the bread I had to order some mayo on the side which by than I was at the end of finishing my sandwich. Our waitress was not very attentive. For a signature sandwich I guess I expected a lot more form this particular menu item.

I returned to Urban flats but this time it was Saturday for brunch. It was a different experience. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The brunch menu is great. The honey granola parfait was amazing, as well as the presentation of the food. I also had the shrimp and grits, I am not a big grits fan but these had a very good flavor a bit spicy and the andouille sausage pieces were a nice touch. The brunch ended with a fabulous bourbon bread pudding. Overall I enjoyed my brunch and was very satisfied with everything.

Found this place close to home and thought we could be regular since it only 5 min drive. After ordered drinks and foods, we waited about 15, 20 for the foods to come out. The lady that brought the foods out asked my husband if we need anything else, so my husband ordered another drink. Five minutes into the foods the waiter name Larry came out with the check. So I asked him what time they close, he said 10pm. On Yelp, it said close at 11pm, we came in at 930 thinking we have an hour and half to enjoy our dinner. There was NO business hours at the front entrance. So if they were close at 10pm, do u think that the waiter should've come to check on our foods first and let us know it was the last call for drinks and if we want deserts or anything else? NO....and NO. Services should/could be improve, foods could've been better. So therefore, I don't think we are coming back again. But we still tip 20%, just because it's a right thing for us to do, it'd have been more BUT We didn't have a great dinner!!!

Seated fairly quick. We sat at our table for over 15 minutes without being greeted, servers passed us at least 30 times without saying a word, so we left. The food looks great, wish we had been able to try it.

Came here with my family the other day. Was seated promptly and the hostess was really nice. Our meals very really good.... I had the shrimp and chorizo...yum! The Urban Mule drink was really great as well! Only reason I rated 4/5 was due to our service. Many times we tried really to get our waitresses attention without any luck. However all in all, it was a nice experience.

Great food and a wonderful atmosphere. We like to sit on the patio so our children can wiggle and enjoy themselves. The food is great. I'm a huge fan of the salmon and the arugula and prosciutto salad. The chocolate fondue is a must-have.

Wonderful bar and grill in downtown Winter Garden. Walking in was impressed with the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Bar area is the showcase of the restaurant which is dimly lit and offers a sexy vibe to see and be seen. Bartenders were attentive, friendly and courteous. Ordered the Flat Dips ($8.50) with hummus and a pint of craft beer since we were short on time. Presentation and portion size was excellent and flavorful. Great spot to break away from the Theme Park and venture out which is located in a urban downtown and appears to have been recently renovated and modernized. Will definitely come back to visit again when I'm in town.

Came to Winter Garden for the weekend for a visit with my mom and auntie and ended up here twice. Excellent service and food. MUST try the potato dip~ it is life changing. Also the flatbreads and house salad are taste bud pleasers. The wine selection is nice and Bloody Mary's the next morning are full of flavor and come with an "appetizer" of olives, cucumbers, pepperoni, and pepperoncinis. Literally, word on the street is that the lava cake is amazing... I'll be back tomorrow night for that. Urban Flats is not to be missed!

The food here is so good and they have a wonderful outside patio that I definitely recommend. I had the pork chop and veggies and it was so tasty. My only complaint was the service. Our hostess seated us and we had to wait about 10 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted a drink. We had a really busy day and were starving, so we asked if they had a bread basket. Thankfully, they did, but it was disappointing that it wasn't initially offered. The atmosphere and food were great, so I would go back again.

  • Idalis M.

Food was great. I had the arugula and beet, salad it was delicious. My bf had the plank salmon and it was god as well. Wine and beers were refreshing after an 8 miles saketing! I will recommend this place to anyone planning to go biking or skating near Winter Garden. Fresh and local ingredients .

I came with a few friends who have raved about the restaurant. I was told specifically about the tomato basil soup so I started with a cup. It was great and had nice flavor, my only thing was that I wish it was served a little warmer. For my entree, I had the full size buffalo chicken flatbread. It was great - very delicious buffalo flavor without being overpowering. It was a bit rich to me so next time I'll probably get the half size ... or try something different since there were a lot of awesome choices! Our waitress Jessica was very nice and attentive!

Have been many many times and every time the food is great, service is excellent and the atmosphere is like no other. Live music on Saturday nights and wine down Wednesdays!

I enjoy the atmosphere of this place. They have great decor and lighting. However, the menu is average at best. I'm not impressed with their flatbreads or much else for that matter.

  • Robb K.

My wife and I got to eat there last night. The food and service is good, but it has a very loud atmosphere. I would go back. The black and white chip were excellent and the flat bread pizza was tasty. It is a chain restaurant but worthy of repeat business.

I've visited Urban Flats in various locations over the years, and their service and food quality has always been too variable to leave me impressed. The Winter Garden location, however, is an exception, and I think they are succeeding in creating something fantastic and unique with their menu. I've been to this location many times, and would not have commented on the experience in the past, but like the town of WInter Garden itself, I've noticed a shift toward something wonderful, with an attention to detail that is uncommon in Central FL. Flats seems to have added an artisanal flare to the food that is both subtle and surprising. I kept waiting for the experience to disappoint, but the meal was solidly enjoyable, flavorful, and interesting. We ordered two brunch dishes and two flatbreads. All wonderfully prepared. My frittata was appropriately sized for one, served with a beautiful fresh jam and European style baguette slices. Different and yummy. Here you won't find the usual boring fare, but daring, yet yummy simple dishes with interesting ingredients. Even the bloody Mary's were unique! Do yourself a favor and take the family for a thoroughly enjoyable Saturday or Sunday afternoon stroll through Winter Garden, stop at Urban Flats for a meal on the terrace, and experience the unique and wonderful food and ambiance that make this town the 'it' place to be in Central FL!

Urban flats has always impressed me with quality food and outstanding service. The owner here is always eager to make customers happy and you can tell that she trains her staff appropriately to take pride in their work. Aside from flatbed ads, UF has some great salads sandwiches and other dishes that are creative and tasteful. Whether it's a flatbed, fish, or a nice salad and sandwich, this place is definitely worth the time. The bar area is also nice with a good selection of craft beer. There is also live music during the weekends and seating outside. Price is a little bit more than other casual restaurants but this place is a bit more than casual in my book!

  • Sandy H.

The Black and White Chips hit the spot every time. They have a selection of tastey flatbreads as well. Most entrees are generously proportioned. Staff is friendly. They have two seperate patio areas, the bar, and inside dining for whatever mood you're in.

Honestly, this is probably my favorite place to be/eat in all of Orlando! Every time I'm here, I'm greeted with the friendliest faces, and the most helpful wait staff ever. Now about the food, because that's why we're all Yelping, isn't it? The food is simply amazing! They just changed the menus for the summer, and everything on it is terrific! Whether you're new in town or a local, in to check out the game and have a few drinks, or hosting out of town friends or relatives, this really is the place to be!

Flat bread was good. Service is ok. Crowded for a Friday night. Waited about 20 minutes for a table. Went there about 8:00 pm. Not to bad. A little expensive but I enjoyed it. I don't feel the need to rush back.

Great service and good food. The ambience was fabulous and the live music was perfect. I would have given them 5 stars but they ran out 2 appetizers that I thought sounded so yummy!

Sit at the bar. Ask for Justin. Done. Awesome night. Haha. 2 princes reisling was good. Hawaiian and Asian BBQ flatbreads were good. Obviously, I felt service was amazing. PS: expect to get diabetes if you order the molten lava cake. It is literally a hot tub of chocolate.

3.5 Stars Pretty good food for Winter Garden. Surprising to see this type of restaurant here too. High ceiling. somewhat modern feel, open, airy...Is Winter Garden the next Winter Park? We went for drinks and apps last wednesday for happy hour. They were having wine wednesday or something.,.$25 for wine and small buffet of few appetizer items. Seemed pricy for what it is and WHERE it is. It's Winter Garden- not Nyc. Needless to say we skipped this. Only regular tables were available and no happy hour so we had a few beers and the veggie flatbread which was very good. Also ordered the poke stack aka tuna tartare drizzled w sweet, soy dipping and wasabi ball. This was pretty good, but was not blown away. Overall pretty good for a casual late afternoon snack.

Met a date at Urban Flats this week, and came away fairly impressed. The wine list was a decent size, but fairly mainstream. Where they excelled was in the flatbreads and the service. I ordered the prosciutto & fig and it was great. Their signature whole wheat crust exceeded my expectations and the fig jam was flawless. Our server, who one with restaurant experience could tell was relatively fresh out of training did a really nice job. He wasn't overbearing or oppressive, even when we lingered more than most servers would like. I'll be back. J.

A pleasant surprise. Started off with the tomato basil bisque and it was spot on. Ordered the filet tips in blue cheese and it was accompanied by green beans and mashed potatoes served in a bowl. All I can say is excellent. My son had seared ahi tuna with seaweed salad and it was very fresh and tasty. The wife had Caribbean mahi and it was really good. We had chocolate fondue for dessert. It is a must. The only negative was the service was okay. Had to ask for refill on drinks. She did suggest my entree so it was good. Five stars on food but 4 on service.

  • Mike L.

The food was good, what brought the review down was the music they played. I'm not really picky but it was like a 16 year old girl made a playlist of awful top 40 songs, and then played it loud enough to the point where you sometimes couldn't hear the person across from you. If you go there, get the fig & prosciutto flat bread. It's great. And make sure to sit outside away from the music.

Great food and atmosphere. Wednesday nights are "Wine down Wednesday" where it's all you can drink wine for $20. There's also live music Saturday nights. I enjoy the flat bread/wine mix up and the upscale feel of the place.

New location in downtown Winter Garden. Still in soft opening mode but the space is nice, location is fantastic, and the bartenders were knowledgable, friendly and efficient. Mahi sliders were tasty and come with a tasty little salad. My martini was $11 for some reason, not sure what happened there... I guess I need happy hours to get started. Will be back soon, great addition to the neighborhood!

I'm an Urban Flats fan and was :( when the Winter Garden Village location closed but was :) when it reopened in downtown Winter Garden. This is actually a much better location for Urban Flats, the key word being urban. This restaurant belongs on a city street, not sitting in a parking lot. Wine Down Wednesday is well attended and generally has a jazz band playing up front. There's plenty of outdoor seating along Plant Street and the more quiet alley along the side. Both great for people watching! As for the flats, they're all good but for me, it's turkey, pear and Brie every time.

Fish tacos were dry and not tasty. Ahi tuna was ok, but may have induced nausea. Server was pleasant, but practiced poor public heath and hygiene by touching water carafe to multiple glasses while refilling water. That's a lot of HSV-1/herpes virus being spread from glass to glass in one night. Almost no vegetarian options were available despite menu stating vegetarian options available. That's annoying, raght? Food overpriced for average quality. Better restaurant options available in area. Urban flats needs to step it up if they wanna compete with better tasting food.

Very pricey but good. Wine was excellent. Staff was a bit cold. Not a family venu.

The bacon & egg burger was a let down. I asked for my burger medium-rare and the egg was described as sunny-side up. The burger wasn't in any way pink and was probably well-done. The egg never ran. Don't even get me started on the water - so nasty.

We went there last night and requested to be seated outside! A very polite young lady welcomed us and seated us in the open area in the back part of the restaurant. After we were given the menues, we were left out there for 10-15 min with no one checking on us, asking us if we are ready to order (which we were and on top of that really starving!) or at least offer a glass of water. We were all alone on the outside patio and maybe they forgot we were there?!! We are extremely patient and kind people, running our own business on International Drive so we gave the girl the benefit of the doubt and without complaining or looking for her inside, we kept on waiting, and waiting, and waiting. We know that sometimes people have bad days but after no one showed up for 10- 15 min for the first time in my life we actually stood up and left without ordering. The funniest, or should I say most ridiculous part, was that as we were walking out, the same girl that seated us wished us a "Great evening!" without even asking why we were leaving, if there was something off with our experience etc. I have never had that happening in my life. I have visited all of your other locations in Downtown and in Winter Park back in the day and the experience was great and far from what we got last night. I hope the server doesn't get fired, but she really needs to step up her game a little and just pay attention to what she is supposed to pay attention to - the customers! Oh she also lost a great tip ;) I really do not think we are getting back there!

Urban Flats is in a quaint downtown area of Winter Garden, Fl. Went here for dinner with another couple who live in the area. Urban Flats is known for its delicious flat bread menu. We started off with a caprese salad for the table. The cheese and tomatoes were large cuts but the prosciutto was a bit lacking. I ordered the Italian sausage flat bread and my friend had the Black & Blue flat bread. Both were very tasty. The other meals consisted of a Turkey Burger and Blackened Mahi trio. Overall a good dining experience.

If you are looking for a great place to hang out with friends or have a family night, the new Urban Flats in downtown Winter Garden is the place to be. The food and service was great as we enjoyed an excellent cocktail "Inspiration" in which my wife thoroughly enjoyed as well as the steak that I ordered and cooked it table-side! I definitely enjoyed taking in the sites of downtown and the overall experience! Will be back!

Attractive place, would have loved to say I liked it, but Meh. Rude bartender.... Updating: Gave the place another chance. The rude bartender was not their last night and had a much more pleasant experience.

Last night was the first time I went to this location. Had a great evening with some friends. It is located in the Historical section of Winter Garden, and this is a very nice quaint little area. I was greeted with a smile at the door, and seated immediately. They had a good selection of craft beers, and I must admit a sampled a few. I ordered a burger which I was actually was abled to get medium rare. It was cooked to my satisfaction, and the provelone cheese was melted just right to cover the 8 ounces of meat. I really liked the soft prezel bun on which the burger was served. It was a nice change from generic burger buns.

Cool ambiance, great furnishings, good service. The flatbreads are always good. Had the Hawaiian. Delicious! The artisan bread basket did leave something to be desired. Strong wine and beer options. The area has really been beefed up. Will be back.

Beautiful place. Ordered two flat breads (portabella & steak, and spicy steak) and four beers( 2 Blue Moons & 2 Mich Ultras) $60.00. The flat breads were not very good. The Spicy Steak flat bread was so hot you could hardly eat it. The Portabella & Steak did not hardly have any steak and neither did the spicy steak one, and they both cost almost $15.00. Not Impressed! Not worth the money. I would never go back to eat, but it would be a nice place to have a glass of wine with a friend.

Came in on a Saturday at 1ish. Not a lot of people in the restaurant. My husband and I ordered salads and I also got a cup of soup. It took over 30 minutes for these to come out... which is a bit much when you're getting salad and soup. The food was good though, I would return

Great food. Very friendly wait staff. Appetizer called Black & White chips was amazing. Lobster bisque soup was really good. Followed by flat bread pizza. Nice presentation and tasted wonderful. Great selection of cold beverage called Moscow Mule. Served in a copper mug. GM of restaurant visited and we had a nice 5 minute chat. I would recommend this restaurant.

Low urgency. Low energy. Out of Miller Lite on a Saturday at 1pm? The owner did reach out to me and I appreciate that. Hopefully the staff will seem more excited to be at work on my next visit. (No I don't expect light up buttons).

I don't even know where to start.... My first visit to Urban Flats was not a pleasant one, however, they have made up for it in a BIG WAY!! The owner of Urban Flats personally contacted me to apologize for the mistake on my salad and asked me to give them a second chance. I was very impressed that the owner would actually take the time to do this. The fact that he cared enough about my opinion satisfied my disappointment, but he didn't stop there. He went over and beyond and invited me to dinner on the house. Well, let me tell you that my opinion has totally changed in regards to Urban Flats (and it was not because of the free food). The food and service I received tonight was outstanding! I enjoyed everything I had. My favorite item though was the JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKE! This crab cake was all crab meat and NO FILLERS! The CEDAR-PLANKED SALMON was the best Salmon I ever had! I finished my meal with the Pineapple upside down cake which was nice and moist. The manager Jane Thomas was very pleasant and assured we were satisfied in every way. My husband and I have had many disappointing experiences at other establishments and pretty much got an "I don't care" attitude. Those are the establishments that we no longer patron. An establishment that goes out of their way to keep their customers however, is an establishment that will prosper. We will definitely continue dinning here and will recommend them to our coworkers, friends and family. Thank you David!! P.S. They have a happy hour menu with deals on food and drinks! Fish Tacos! Yum!

I gave Urban Flats an overall rating of 4 stars because i really really like the location they moved to in downtown Winter Garden. My husband and I went for lunch on the weekend and the place filled up quickly. I had soup and a flatbread which were both good and my husband got a salad and sandwich combo and he enjoyed it as well. Wasn't the most amazing food in the world but it was good enough I'd eat here again. The wine menu is good, not cheap but good selection overall. Beer options were limited but they had a few craft beers on tap that weren't on a menu so if you are looking for a non bud/miller/coors beer then make sure to ask your waitress what else they have on tap. The ambiance was great for socializing and I can't wait to visit again when i can sit outside (the weather was pretty windy/chilly when we were there). They also are doing Wine Down Wednesdays like the downtown Orlando location....its $25 a person all you can drink wine and appetizers from i think 5-8? Not 100% sure on the time frame since i think it differs from the downtown orlando location so call ahead first to make sure.

Horrible customer service. After reading the other reviews that aren't "recommended" it seems like this is a common problem. And after interacting with the general manager I can see why. We walked in and were immediately told 40 minute wait. We were literally the only people waiting. The worst part was, as we sat there we were looking around and We counted 9 open tables. We remained silent for 20 minutes and all these tables were still sitting vacant. We asked the hostess again and she, very sternly, because I guess we were bothering her, told us that the tables were all reserved for other people. We also witnessed them turn away over 15 other groups of people who walked out because they would tell them it was over a 45 minute wait. I asked for the manager and a tall slender woman introduced herself as the general manager. I explained that the wait wasn't really the problem but the way we were spoke to and how others were turned away in what seems like a half empty restaurant. Her customer service skills were nothing to rave about as well. She tells me that the tables are reserved for people that have reservations 30 minutes from now! We had been there for 25. So they were holding tables open and turning away people for a reservation 45 minutes later. We could have eaten and left by then. I showed her 9 open tables including one that was just to the left of us that had been empty since we got there. She was not empathetic at all and I basically had to call her out on her poor customer service skills. We were about to walk out and they finally Sat us. In retrospect we should have spent our money somewhere else where the business would be a little more thankful for the customers instead of being an inconvenience. The bar tender and waiter were very good though. Front end and management may want to learn something from their great staff.
